This project was initiated by\nthe Idaho legislature’s America250 in Idaho Ambassador Program and is supervised by\nthe Idaho State Historical Society and the Idaho Capitol Commission.\nTo make that statewide journey possible\, we are building the Liberty Bell Carriage — a secure\,\nhistorically inspired traveling display that will carry the Bell to parades\, county events\, schools\, and\ncivic gatherings across Idaho.\nWe invite you to help Bring the Bell Home.\nYour donation will support:\n• Pay for the cost of the Foundry work\n• Construction of the Liberty Bell Carriage\n• Safe transport and fuel for the tour\n• Statewide community tour stops\nSuggested Giving Levels – $25\,000 – Founding Carriage Sponsor\nPremier recognition associated with the Liberty Bell Carriage and statewide tour. – $10\,000 – Heritage Sponsor – $5\,000 – Liberty Sponsor – $2\,500 – Community Tour Sponsor – $1\,000 – Freedom Partner – $250 – Bring the Bell Home Supporter – Spudjamin Franklin’s Quarter Drive throughout the state\nCustom gifts and in-kind support are welcome.\nDonate AT ICCU BURLEY or online or mail a check payable to ICF\, memo Idaho’s Liberty Bell – 210 W. SUMMARY:SHARING THE SPIRIT OF AMERICA
DESCRIPTION:On July 4\, 1776\, the Second Continental Congress approved the Declaration of Independence inside the Pennsylvania State House (now Independence Hall) in Philadelphia. \nFour days later\, on July 8\, 1776\, after the Declaration was printed and distributed\, the citizens of Philadelphia were summoned to the State House Yard by the bells of the city. Then\, Colonel John Nixon publicly read the Declaration of Independence. \nLed by America250 Hawaii\, Americans in all 50 States and 16 Territories of the United States will read the Declaration of Independence ‘together’ on July 8\, 2026. America spans some 9\,500-miles from one extreme to the other (the Caribbean across North America to the western edge of the Pacific). Even though the United States is spread across thousands of miles and nine different time zones\, all of us in America may read the Declaration of Independence ‘together’\, at the ‘same’ time. \n \nSpirit of America \nJust as the Declaration of Independence was read to the people on July 8\, 1776\, now\, 250-years later\, Americans in all 50 States\, 5 Territories\, the District of Columbia\, and Minor Outlying Islands of the United States will read the Declaration of Independence ‘together’. \nWith a start time based on 6 pm (EDT) Mountain Time Zone 4 pm Mountain Daylight\, July 8\, 2026 (commemorating the first public reading)\, people in communities across America will begin reading the Declaration of Independence. \nShare the experience with your family and friends with this link – Sharing-The-Spirit-Of-America-Index Card.pdf
